Mike Samardzija, a PBA
professional since 1968, is a champion on both the PBA's Senior and Regional
Tours and a member of both the Detroit
Bowling Hall of Fame
(1992) and of the Michigan Majors Hall of Fame (1984). Mike was a 10 year member of the
famed Stroh's Beer professional bowling team. He has one Senior PBA Tour
title (1992, Escondido, CA), three PBA Regional titles, seven Michigan Majors
titles, and was six times named to the Greater Detroit Bowling Associations
First-Team, twice as captain.
K&S Bowling
& Trophy Sales was founded in 1968 on Plymouth Road in Detroit, the "K" of K&S
was Bob Kwolek, who soon after, left the business and relocated to Dayton, Ohio. In
'70s and early '80s, K&S was located on 7 Mile Road near Evergreen. After
a series of break-ins, they relocated in 1982 to Livonia on 8 Mile Road near
Farmington Road. In 2002, K&S moved to its current location on 8 Mile
Road just east of Middlebelt.
Mike and
Jennifer have been married since 1979.

1992: Mike Samardzija upsets top seed John
Handegard, 193-188, in the title match of the Escondido (Calif.) PBA Senior Open
to capture his first senior title.
